Two best friends were married on a snowy day at Deer Path Inn in Lake Forrest Illinois!

Liz-Marie and Raoul were friends for over two years until Raoul worked up the courage to ask out Liz-Marie. At their wedding, his best man gave a heartfelt speech that detailed the way that Raoul had a twinkle in his eye when spoke about Liz-Marie. Raoul reportedly told his friend from the very beginning that he would later marry this amazing girl.

At the very foundation of their love for each other is faith and family. The bride and groom told me that nothing is more important to either of them and that they are eager to start a family of their own. During the time that they spend together, they enjoy traveling, cooking, and watching TV and movies. As much as they love cooking, they also enjoy a night out at one of their favorite restaurants and the bride’s all-time favorite food is pizza! Raoul even incorporated pizza boxes into his surprise proposal (more on that below)!

Liz-Marie and Raoul’s wedding day was blanketed with what was originally supposed to be a light snowfall. The impending wintery weather did nothing to dampen the mood of their wedding day and the bride and groom even held their first look outdoors at Deer Path Inn. The moment of anticipation & excitement that occurred when Liz-Marie tapped her groom on the shoulder, set the tone for the remainder of their wedding day.

The bride and grooms love was described at their ceremony as unique. They celebrated their unique style of love by dancing with one another at The Art Institute of Chicago, looking into each other’s eyes, as if nobody else was in sight.

The proposal? …Tell me everything (all the gushy details)

GROOM: I don’t even know where to begin! The night in question we had dinner reservations at our favorite french restaurant. Coming home from work I was starting to get nervous. I spent all day crafting this beautiful botanical masterpiece with roses in a pizza box in the shape of a question mark and in the center of the pizza box I had the ring inserted in a lush rose that was designed as the point of the question mark. It was dark and windy when we left the house that night for dinner. We approached my car and I began to sweat. As she opened the door she realized the pizza boxes were on her seat. Frustrated and nervous that her dress would smell like pizza, she told me to move the pizza boxes quickly. I grabbed the boxes, turned away from her, turned back and smiled as I took my first step as I turned around and starred right into her eyes. She looked very puzzled. Is something wrong? she asked me. I slowly began to kneel. I began Saying sweet things about how much I love her and how I cant wait to spend the rest of my life with her. She was in a panic. All I could hear was “what’s going on? What are you doing!? Here? Now? OMG!? I turned back into my own voice.. ” I hope this doesn’t sound cheesy but will you marry me?” She paused and glanced at her Ring and shouted yes. I sprung up. She was crying and I was kissing her tears away. I slowly slid the ring on her finger and it was done! The phones were ringing the texts and notification were pouring in. I held her hand the whole way to the restaurant thinking about how sweet life was about to get.
