CHICAGO WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER

What’s your story? What are ya’ll into? How do you spend your days? Whats in important in life? etc, etc…

My fiance, Josh, is a software engineer in Seattle. I’m finishing up graduate school in Indiana, so we’ve been apart for the past two years. I’m studying to be a Speech Language Pathologist and am moving to Seattle after the wedding. Something that is important to me is loving people. I find such a joy in interacting with those around me and listening to their stories. Something that is important to Josh is being able to serve me well. And something that’s important to both of us is our relationship with the Lord. Joshua spends his spare time playing Nintendo games and playing Dance Dance Revolution with some of his friends. In the free time I have (which has been limited due to graduate school) I like to read and spend times with my friends and family. When we’re together, we like to enjoy each others company and try out new restaurants, go hiking, or playing games together.

Why did you pick Hunter Floyd Films to create your wedding film?

I absolutely loved your films. I love wedding films that bring tears to my eyes and capture the beauty of someone’s special day. I loved watching your videos and showing your videos to my friends and imagining what our wedding day video would look like. I love the music you pick and how you incorporated people speaking as well. It really captures each couple so well.

The proposal? …Tell me everything (all the gushy details)

I was visiting Josh in Seattle and we went to this tiny nearby island called Bainbridge. We had a nice lunch and then went to the Bloedel Reserve, which is an arboretum with beautiful scenery. We were walking around this pond when Josh stopped to “get some water”. A woman left a nearby bench on a phone call (it wasn’t until later that I found out Josh had paid someone to sit on that bench so it would be available when we walked by). Josh brought me over to sit down, saying he had a present for me. He pulled out of his bag a wrapped present which contained a book he had made titled “The story of us”. It included drawings he had made and a narrative of our relationship. At the end of the book, he said that our story wasn’t over yet and the book was a reminder of our love until we had no more hard goodbyes and were together for good with no distance between us. He then pulled out a ring and proposed.

Chateau Bu-Sche, what made you choose this venue over all others?

I loved the lighting of the venue. It has such an elegant and gentle feel to it with the drapery and windows, that immediately drew me to the venue. It also has beautiful windows, which provides for natural light and an almost outdoor feel (without the heat).

What experience do you want to give to your guests?

I want my guests to feel the love that Joshua and I have for each other and for them to be able to celebrate this new chapter in our lives with us.
